I miss the CBC

It makes me sad every morning when I turn on the radio and don't hear Tom Allen's lovely voice telling some silly story about a composer. I hadn't realized how much I depended upon the state-sponsored media of this particular country until it was gone.

I had no idea how much CBC was a part of my life until it went away. I've been packing all alone this weekend and usually I would turn on CBC 2 to keep me company but now I really AM all alone!! I also miss CBC TV during the day and I also missed CBC 1 at work! Ack! my life is empty and alone!!
oh, CBC, why hast thou forsaken me?

espace musique(the Radio 2 equivalent on radio-canada), people; I'm telling you. The lack of Tom Allen is compensated for by the educational opportunity afforded by constantly listening to things in French.

Well, it's good to know that not everyone either
a) doesn't care about the CBC except for hockey
or
b) likes the radio better with no 'annoying, intrusive' radio announcers.

I just hope the CBC comes back soon so I can stop having withdrawal symptoms and musical depression.

I would like to say that I don't care about the cbc at all! Everything about cbc annoys me, the chatter, the faux hard-hitting journalism, the fact that no one replied to my e-mail about getting Ian Hanomansing's autograph.

Actually, there are three things that I do care about regarding the cbc: 1) Doctor Who 2) Rick Mercer 3) This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Hmm...maybe it's cbc radio that I don't like. Everytime I listen to cbc radio I have an urge to hurt things, myself, other people.

I hate cbc radio so much.

See, that's the thing about the cbc, though. Even if you hate Radio One, you still like some of the programs they put on on tv. I'm very sad for a friend of mine (Andrew) who told me he applied for a student job that Rick Mercer has posted. Well until this strike ends, there's no hope for Andrew to realize his hidden (and fabulous) talent in political commentary/satire.
